Jeni created the topic: Changes To LFC Stadium Tours
As you know construction work is underway to expand the Main Stand at Anfield Stadium.
We would like to take this opportunity to update you on how this exciting work will impact our Stadium Tours over the next 18 months leading up to the launch of our new state of the art new stadium in August 2016 and what this means for groups.
Phase 1 – Anfield Stadium Tours – until Friday 15th May 2015
Up until Friday 15th May groups will still be able to enjoy all of our Stadium Tours.
This is an exciting time for LFC as we approach our main stand expansion period. This opens a fantastic sales and marketing opportunity for you to promote that there is only limited time left for fans and visitors to enjoy our stadium tour and some of our iconic areas such as press room, dressing rooms, This is Anfield sign, Managers Dugout etc in their current form, before these areas change forever.
A must for any fans and visitors to Liverpool between now and the end of the current football season. Our tours are not just for football fans but those also interested in one of the most iconic landmarks in Liverpool and the history and culture of our great city and how football and music came together back in the 60’s to make the city so famous.
To commemorate the departure of Steven Gerrard at the end of the current footballing season we shall also be featuring The Steven Gerrard Collection ready for summer which will be housed in The LFC Story – our new interactive museum. This is due to open at the end of May 2015 and further details to follow.
Looking ahead to 2016 we shall then be launching our all new Stadium Tour, giving fans and visitors their chance to experience and view our brand new state of the art facility first hand.
Phase 2 – Anfield Stadium Tours – from Saturday 16th May 2015
After Saturday 16th May 2015, groups will still be able to enjoy a visit to Anfield.
We will be operating stadium viewing tours after this date, where groups will be able to see inside our famous stadium and experience firsthand the changes being made to Anfield at this exciting time.
All stadium viewing tours also includes entrance to the interactive Liverpool FC Museum. To enhance your experience every visitor is provided with a multimedia handset which offers a personalised commentary by Phil Thompson who shares his experience of being a fan, player, captain, assistant manager and manager of the worlds greatest football family. This state of the art device brings the Reds illustrious history to life whilst we also feature unique and never seen before displays which combine the history of LFC alongside its modern day stars.
The Bootroom Sports Café will remain open for business and can be packaged together and included with stadium viewing tours. The LFC Club store located at Anfield stadium will also be open for groups to visit.
As works progress we will continue to keep you up to date with our plans and schedule.
